On Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi hails Indian athletes for Commonwealth Games performance

In his latest edition of his radio address Maan Ki Baat, PM Narendra Modi also asked the youth to adopt yoga for all-round development.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed Indian athletes, particularly women, for their stunning performance at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in Australia.

“Women athletes have India very proud during this year’s Commonwealth Games as they won majority of the awards,” he said.

India finished third at the Commonwealth Games, with 66 medals, including 26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze.

In his latest edition of his radio address Maan Ki Baat, Modi also asked the youth to adopt yoga for their all-round development.

Modi also asked the youth to volunteer for the Swachh Bharat internship this summer, as part of the government’s cleanliness drive.
