Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah appreciated the Indian Army's heroic execution of Operation Sindoor, saying that India will never toleration terror in any form.

In a post on X, he wrote, "I salute the extraordinary courage of our armed forces behind Operation Sindhoor. Their heroic action reaffirms that India will never tolerate terror in any form."

"The brutal attack in Pahalgam was not just on innocent lives, it was an assault on the dreams and spirit of India. Every effort of our brave soldiers is a pledge to bring justice to the victims, their families, and to every Indian who believes in peace and humanity," he added.

"Karnataka joins the nation in expressing unwavering solidarity with our forces. We are proud of your valour, sacrifice, and unflinching commitment to protect our sovereignty," the post read.

Former defence minister and senior Congress leader AK Antony on Wednesday hailed Operation Sindoor and gave a "big salute" to the Indian military.

"I am proud of them," he told reporters.

"This action is the need of the hour. Pakistan-sponsored terrorists mercilessly killed tourists in Pahalgam. This is the natural reaction to those actions. I think this is only the beginning. The end, I leave it to the military. The government has also left details (of the military operation) to the military," he said.

"This is not a time for introspection, postmortem. Let us unite behind the Indian military and support the Indian government in all its actions against the terrorists," he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Union Cabinet at his residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, hours after the Indian armed forces successfully executed Operation Sindoor.

News agency PTI, citing sources, reported that he will also chair a meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security (CCS) to take stock of the evolving situation.

Pahalgam victim Sameer Guha's wife Sarbori said demanded that Pakistan be held accountable and added that similar incidents will continue unless the country is "eliminated".

Speaking to ANI, Guha said,"This was supposed to happen...whole Pakistan needs to be eliminated otherwise similar incidents will happen again."

The family of Pahalgam terror attack victim Bharath Bhushan welcomed Operation Sindoor and said that the central government has done a good job and that they stay in support of them.

Bhushan's father said, "The name, 'Operation Sindoor' is correct because they have removed the tilak of many women. That's a good step. Government has done a good work and they have also taken the support of many countries."

"What Pakistan has done, their bad work. They are (sheltering) terrorists in their hideouts, giving them money. They are supported and trained by Pakistan's army. Modi has taken this message to different countries and explained Pakistan's dirty Mode of Operation," he added.

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that Pakistan has "gone out of its way" to target civilian population in the Union territory following India's Operation Sindoor targeting terror sites in Pakistan and PoK.

"As reports are coming, Pakistan has gone out of its way to target the civilian population. So I have taken stock of the situation and we are dealing with the situation as it develops," Abdullah told PTI Videos after chairing a review meeting.

"After the inhumane and barbaric murder of 26 innocent civilians in Pahalgam, it was expected that India would use its right to respond in an appropriate and proportionate way. I think the Government of India and Indian defence forces have gone out of the way to ensure no military and civilian targets were hit in Pakistan. They have only hit terror bases," he added.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said during the press briefing on Operation Sindoor that the terror camps, including Mehmoona Joya camp in Sialkot, which lies 12-18 km inside Pakistan, were also destroyed.

She showed that it is one of the biggest camps of Hizbul Mujahideen and one of the control centres for spreading terrorism in Jammu region's Kathua. The camp planned and directed the attack on Pathankot air force base camp.

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said that right now there is no need to panic.

"There is no shortage of essential commodities, no shortage of supplies in blood banks of hospitals...highway is open for traffic," he added.

"They don't have to run away from here. Schools in Jammu and Srinagar are open, though the airport in Srinagar is shut," he told ANI.

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said on Wednesday that Operation Sindoor was the right method to reply to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.

Speaking to news agency ANI, he said, "It began with Pahalgam where our 26 innocent civilians killed and govt had said that we will get a befitting reply...This was the right method to reply...only terror sites in Pakistan were hit not military area or civilians...But, Pakistan has bombed some of the areas, our civilians were targeted in it."

"They started it, not us...we were living peacefully...we did not start this...none of us want war...we want the situation to improve again, but first Pakistan needs to lower their guns," he added.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said during the press briefing on Operation Sindoor that terror camps, including Sarjal camp, Sialkot, which lies 6 km inside Pakistan, is the camp where terrorists involved in the killing of 4 Jammu and Kashmir police personnel were trained.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said during the press briefing that terror site Markaz Subhan Allah targeted by the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor in Pakistan's Bahawalpur was the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi presented videos of the Gulpur terror camp in Kotli which was targeted by the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor and said that the camp situated 30 kms away from LoC and that it was base of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

"This camp was active in Rajouri-Poonch region," she said. The terrorists involved in the April 20, 2023 attack in Poonch and June 9, 2024 attack on a bus of pilgrims were trained at this camp, Qureshi added.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi clarified in the press briefing that no military installation was targeted in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.

Wing commander Vyomika Singh, during the press briefing on Operation Sindoor, said that India is ready to deal with any misadventure by Pakistan.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi presented videos showing the terror camps destroyed by the Indian armed forces in Muridke and said that they were those involved in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, adding that Ajmal Kasab and David Headley received their training there.

Foreign secretary Vikram Misri said during the press briefing that, "Pakistan has been known to willfully mislead the world and international forums such as the Financial Action Task Force on this issue. The Sajid Mir case, in which this terrorist was declared dead and then in response to international pressure brought back to life, found alive and arrested, is the most glaring example.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, in the press briefing on Operation Sindoor, said that the targets chosen by the Indian armed forces were "so selected to avoid damage to civilian infrastructures and loss of any civilian lives".

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh explained and gave insights into the target sites chosen inside Pakistan.

In the press briefing on Operation Sindoor, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said that the nine targets that the Indian armed forces struck in Pakistan and PoK were chosen on the basis of strong intelligence inputs. Wing commander Vyomika Singh added that these sites were chosen with civilian lives and safety kept in mind.

“Terror targets were chosen based on credible intelligence and their involvement in cross-border terrorism,” Col Qureshi said.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, "Pakistan has emerged as safe haven for terrorists in the world. Banned international terrorists find it safe from being punished in this country. Pakistan is also known for deliberately misleading the world and international platforms."
