PM Modi to visit Gujarat this week, hold roadshow, rally

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from March 11, during which he is scheduled to hold a roadshow in Ahmedabad and address a rally of over 100,000 elected representatives of panchayat bodies, state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president CR Patil said on Wednesday.

Assembly elections in the state are slated to be held in December this year.
“Prime Minister Modi will arrive at Ahmedabad airport on March 11 morning. From there till ‘Kamalam’ (the BJP’s state headquarters in Gandhinagar), he will hold a roadshow,” Paatil told reporters.

Various NGOs, organisations and BJP workers will remain present at their pre-decided spots during the roadshow. At ‘Kamalam’, Modi will talk to party MPs, MLAs, office-bearers and state executive members. He will also Maha Panchayat Sammelan - ‘Maaru Gaam, Maaru Gujarat’ - at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad.
