Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said that the recent Rohtak gangrape case will be heard in a fast-track court and the guilty will not be spared.
Interacting with journalists in Delhi, Khattar said such heinous crimes will not be tolerated.
A 23-year-old Sonepat woman was abducted and gangraped last week by her jilted lover and his accomplice. The two later killed her by smashing bricks on her face and mutilated her private parts. The woman had been missing since May 9.
The victim’s mother said the jilted lover, Sumit Kumar, had been pressurising her divorced daughter to marry him. She alleged that her daughter was kidnapped by seven-eight men led by Sumit.
The other accused arrested was identified as Vikas.
