Tripura man, 70, two sons held for allegedly killing another son: Police

A team of police reached the scene on Saturday after they received the information from deceased’s wife in the morning

A 70-year-old man and his two sons were arrested for allegedly killing the man’s third son following a family dispute in Bamanchara Gour Para in Kamalpur, Tripura’s Dhalai district, police said on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Joy Singh Gour (32), police said.

Police said that Joy got into a family dispute with his father Sanuram Gour and his two brothers Mithun Gour (29) and Harichan Gour (40) on Friday. The three allegedly hit Joy with an iron rod on his head due to which he sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot, police said.

A team of police reached the scene on Saturday after they received the information from deceased’s wife in the morning. Police sent the body for post mortem and also seized the iron rod and arrested Joy’s father and his two brothers.

“The matter is under investigation,” said a police officer.
