11 hurt in clash, one arrested

ELEVEN PERSONS were injured in a clash between two groups over an old rivalry related to student union?s election in Jaitwara town in Satna district on Tuesday. A case was registered against over one- and-a-half dozen persons in this connection.

ELEVEN PERSONS were injured in a clash between two groups over an old rivalry related to student union’s election in Jaitwara town in Satna district on Tuesday. A case was registered against over one- and-a-half dozen persons in this connection. According to information, a group of boys from Kakothara village beat up a college student, Rajendra Singh, over an old rivalry.

A complaint to this effect was lodged with college principal DP Tripathi but no action was taken. Armed with sticks and weapons, Rajendra reached the college with over hundred students and beat up students of other faction resulting in eleven persons sustaining injuries.

Ten were discharged from hospital after minor treatment. Police arrested an accused and the search for others is on.
