12-year-old girl raped in Madhya Pradesh village

A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old youth, his brother-in-law and an unidentified person in Bijalpur, 135km south west of Indore, the police said.

According to the complaint filed by the girl’s father with Rajendra Nagar Police Station a couple of days ago, the accused, Manoj, took her to Barwani, promising her they were getting married there. His brother-in-law Kamal and the third person whose identity could not be ascertained accompanied Manoj to Barwani.

But the trio raped the girl and later dumped her at an isolated place in Bijalpur, the complaint said. The medical examination of the girl at the government hospital has confirmed sexual assault, the police said.

In-charge Rajendra Nagar Police Station CS Rathore said that a case of abduction and rape has been filed against the accused and a manhunt launched to arrest them.
