14-year-old boy commits suicide in northwest Delhi

Vikram Singh, a resident of Swatantra Nagar in Narela, was found hanging from the ceiling of his room late on Wednesday night by his parents.

A class nine student of a reputed public school in northwest Delhi committed suicide on the eve of examinations apparently fearing failure, police said on Thursday.

Vikram Singh, a resident of Swatantra Nagar in Narela, was found hanging from the ceiling of his room late on Wednesday night by his parents.

The 14-year-old was a student of Bharati Mata Public School in Narela.

He had taken admission in the school this year and been under pressure for sometime because of the examinations, which began on Thursday.

His father Prem Singh is an Assistant Sub-Inspector with the Railway Protection Force, while mother is a housewife.
