171 cyber crimes in Karnataka
As many as 171 cyber crimes were either detected or registered in Karnataka in the past two-and-half-years, the state assembly was informed on Tuesday.

As many as 171 cyber crimes were either detected or registered in Karnataka in the past two-and-half-years, the state assembly was informed on Tuesday.
Of them, 58 were in 2008, 97 in 2009 and 16 till June 27 this year, Home Minister VS Acharya said in reply to a question from NA Harris (Congress).
Acharya said investigation of such internet crimes is carried out by expert personnel of the cyber lab attached to the cyber police station.
