18 injured in Patna cylinder blast

Eighteen persons sustained burn injuries when a liquefied petroleum gas cylinder burst at Maner in Patna district on Monday night, police said on Tuesday.

The mishap occurred when tea was being prepared at the house of one Deepak Mehta, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Danapur, Pramod Kumar said.

Four persons with serious burn injuries have been rushed to Patna Medical College and Hospital, while others were discharged after first-aid.

Four families reside in the house owned by Mehta and most people suffered burn injuries while trying to douse the fire, he said.
