Feroze Abdul Rashid, an accused in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, has been detained by the US authorities in Washington, a CBI official said on Friday.
The CBI has charged him with participating in operations to land arms and ammunitions on the Dighi coast in Raigad district of Maharashtra on January 9, 1993.
The Interpol got in touch with authorities in the US after he was shown by the CBI as an accused wanted in India, the official said.
