They have been identified as Balram Sahay Pandey (20), a resident of Chaukaghat area and Nihar Ranjan, a BA IIIrd year student of BHU.
Balram Pandey reached Varanasi from Noida on Friday morning whereas Nihar Ranjan reached Varanasi from Jamshedpur a couple of days ago.
Medical Superintendent of SS Hospital, Prof S Churamani Gopal confirmed that two suspected cases of dengue were admitted to the hospital today. Sources said that medical test of both the patients were being conducted and the results of these tests were likely to come late on Friday night.
It may be noted that six cases of dengue have come to light in Varanasi. One patient of dengue is admitted to SS Hospital whereas five others are admitted at a private hospital in Lanka area.
Chief Medical Officer, Varanasi, Dr AP Singh said that district health department and Varanasi Nagar Nigam has started fogging in various localities of the city which would continue till October 17 or 18.
