2 killed as goods train rams into truck in Bihar

The mishap occurs at gate no 3 at Khagra around 7.30 am, says police sources.

Two persons were killed on Wednesday when a goods train collided with a truck at a level crossing in Kishanganj (Bihar).

The mishap occurred at gate no 3 at Khagra around 7.30 am, police sources said, adding the victims were the driver and cleaner of the truck, who died on the spot.

According to preliminary information, the mishap occurred due to the negligence of the gate man, who had not not closed the level crossing for traffic when the train was about to pass.

Rail and road traffic has been blocked as a result of the mishap, sources added.
