21-yr-old tells Thane cops boyfriend raped her

A 21-year-old woman from Mokhada in Thane lodged a complaint of rape against her ex-boyfriend on Tuesday. The woman is a student while the accused works as a ‘Gram Sevak.

A 21-year-old woman from Mokhada in Thane lodged a complaint of rape against her ex-boyfriend on Tuesday. The woman is a student while the accused works as a gram sevak.

Police said the couple was in a relationship for the past five years. They lived in the same neighbourhood at Pimpalgaon. Wagh, 25, however, went back on his promise of marrying her.

The woman then confided in her family and approached the Mokhada police on Tuesday. She also accused the man of stealing money from her house and assaulting her.

Wagh was arrested and produced before court.

Apart from rape, the man has also been booked for cheating, criminal intimidation, assault and housebreaking.
