3 jawans hurt in landmine explosion in Poonch

Three army jawans got injured when one of them inadvertently stepped over a landmine along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Three army jawans got injured when one of them inadvertently stepped over a landmine along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Rifleman Anup Singh, resident of Haryana last evening inadvertently stepped over a landmine near Chapri and Gian Posts in tehsil Mendhar while patrolling, which exploded and thus caused injuries to the jawans, official spokesman here on Sunday said.

He said Aunp Singh sustained injuries in his left leg adding, he was immediately shifted to the Army Hospital Rajouri while two others were admitted in Mendhar.
