3 militant supporters arrested in J&K

Police on 19 september arrested three militant supporters of Lashker-e-Taiba in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu.

Police on 19 september arrested three militant supporters of Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir in Jammu.

Several hideouts on 19 september were raided and three militant supporters were arrested in upper Chakka area of Bhaderwah tehsil of Doda district, police said, adding that they have been identified as Sajjad Ahmed, Rafiq Ahmed and Raj Mohmmad.

Sajjad was working for LeT commander Ashraf Husain, they said. He was tracked down after his conversation on mobile phone with LeT activists was intercepted by the police.

LeT militants along with their supporters had sometime back snatched two SIM cards of two jawans of the Forest Protection Force. The jawans had lodged a case in this direction with police.
