3 militants killed in doda

Three militants were killed in an encounter in the Doda district which lasted for about 24 hours. All three militants were members of LeT.

Three militants were killed in an encounter in the Doda district which lasted for about 24 hours. All three militants were members of LeT. One the militants was involved in the massacre of 20 Hindus in Kulhand area of the district in 2006.

SP (Operations) Madan Lal said on Thursday morning an information was received about the presence of militants in Gundna area. A team of Special Task Force (STF) was send there. Latter a team of 8 RR also joined them. He said the encounter was over at about 10 am today. Three AK-47 rifles and magazines were recovered.

On Thursday,Doda police had killed LeT divisional commander Saifullah who involved in the killing of 20 people in the district.
