30 dead, 20 hurt as bus plunges into river in China

At least 30 people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus plunged into a river from a bridge in Chongqing City in southwest China on Sunday, local officials said.
The accident occurred in Shapingba district around 2 pm when a fully loaded bus drove through a guardrail of the bridge that spans the Jialing River.
Twenty others were injured and are being treated at a local hospital, a local news agency reported.
