District Inspector of School (DIOS) Onkar Shukla said that a High School student was caught copying in Laxmi Shanker Inter College in Rajwari whereas a students of Domdev Inter College (Danganj) was rusticated today.
Two copycats appearing for Intermediate examination were caught in DAV Inter College in Daranagar this afternoon. The DIOS further informed that videography of some sensitive examination centres was also being conducted to ensure a copying-free examination.
Meanwhile, activists of Adarsh Bharatiya Sangh, a social organisation, took out a procession in Varanasi on Monday to protest against alleged copying in the ongoing annual examination of UP Board.
The activists demanded that the education department ensure copying-free examination of High School and Intermediate. They also demanded arrest of the copying mafia.
Under the leadership of Uday Narayan Pandey and Anil Singh, the activists took out a procession from the trans-Varuna area and after covering several areas, reached the District Headquarters where they staged a dharna in favour of their demands.
The activists alleged that education mafia was taking contracts from the parents of students to help their wards clear the examination with good marks, against a sum of Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000. The activists also warned that if the district administration did not arrest the education mafia and so-called contractor of examination soon, the activists of the Sangh would stage a massive demonstration.
