4 day course on nanotechnology at NIT-K concludes

The four-day course on 'Emerging Materials: Characterization and Applications', organized by the department of Physics, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, concluded here on Tuesday evening.

The four-day course on 'Emerging Materials: Characterization and Applications', organized by the department of Physics, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, concluded here on Tuesday evening.
The course focused on major thrust areas in the field of nano-materials and nanostructures, the fundamental principles guiding their properties, their synthesis and current trends for their characterisation approaches.

Fifteen lectures by experts from various instituitions like the IITs, NITs were delivered, which was followed by an interactive session between students and experts. Laboratory sessions included hands-on usage of sophisticated instruments like, SEM, TEM, XRD, XRF, PL, UV-Vis, spin coating etc.

Thirty seven participants from different parts of the country, including Delhi University, Jamia Milia Islamia-New Delhi, Aligarh Muslim University, Amity University, YMCA, Faridabad, and several other institutes in Haryana, attended the course. At the valedictory function, certificates of participation were distributed to all participants.
