4 MLAs resign in support of separate Telangana

Suspended TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy and three other TDP MLAs on Sunday submitted their resignations in support of the separate Telangana demand.

Suspended TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy and three other TDP MLAs on Sunday submitted their resignations in support of the separate Telangana demand.

Janardhan Reddy and the three others - K Harishwar Reddy, S Venugopala Chary and Jogu Ramanna submitted their resignations to the Speaker's office.

Venugopala Chary said that they sent their resignations unconditionally for acceptance.

Janardhan Reddy appreciated the state ministers, Congress MPs and MLAs from Telangana for deciding to quit their posts in support of separate statehood demand.

Janardhan Reddy and the three MLAs have started a two-day fast on Sunday at Indira Park in Hyderabad in support of separate statehood demand.

Freedom fighter and Telangana supporter Konda Laxman Bapuji, Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convener M Kodandaram, revolutionary singer Gaddar and others expressed solidarity with Janardhan Reddy.

Reddy was suspended from TDP in May 2011 for his comments against the party and its chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
