5.4 magnitude quake rocks Kashmir

A moderate intensity quake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, hit the Kashmir valley on Saturday, including summer capital, Srinagar, Meteorological department said.

The quake jolted the region at 0425 hrs forcing people to rush out of their homes in panic.

Its epicentre was located in Hindukush mountains in Afghanistan.
