At least five persons, including three women, were injured on Sunday when a grenade hurled at a security convoy by militants missed the target and exploded on Srinagar-Baramulla national highway, the second such incident in the area since last evening, official sources said.

The three seriously injured women were among five persons travelling in a private bus bound for Baramulla when the explosion took place at Harithrat in Pattan area, 27 km from here on Srinagar-Baramulla road, sources said.

The bus was damaged in the blast, the sources said adding the injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
