Union HRD Minister and senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi is among 57 candidates in the fray for Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh's three constituencies -- Allahabad, Phulpur and Chail -- where 41.81 lakh electorate will exercise their franchise tomorrow.

A total of 1906 polling booths have been identified as hyper-sensitive and 3783 polling booths as sensitive in the three seats, the district election office said, adding videography will be conducted in hyper-sensitive booths.

Joshi, seeking his fourth consecutive term from the prestigious Allahabad seat, is locked in a multi-cornered contest with the Samajawadi Party's Reoti Raman Singh, BSP's R K Singh Patel and Satya Prakash Malviya of Congress being other prominent leaders among total 19 candidates contesting the poll in the constituency.

The adjoining Phulpur constituency has the maximum of 26 candidates with the BJP's Beni Madha Bind, Atiq Ahmed of the SP and BSP's Kesri Devi Patel battling it out in the triangular contest even as the Apna Dal national president Sonelal Patel is also in the fray.

In the Chail (Reserved) seat, it appears to be a quadrangular contest among BSP's Vachaspati, SP's Shalendra Kumar, Amrit Lal Bharatiya and Shash Prakesh of the BJP.

41.81 lakh electorate includes 18.77 women who could cast their votes tomorrow.

The district election office has made all arrangements to ensure free and fair poll in the constituencies by requisitioning 7243 electronic voting machines and deploying 16,648 poll staff for the purpose.
