8 killed, 56 injured in road accident

8 persons killed and 56 injured when a bus on way to Tigri skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge after it hit a tree.

Eight persons were killed and 56 others injured when a bus in which they were travelling fell into a deep gorge after it hit a tree near Sambhal, near here, official sources said on 30th september.

The mishap occurred on 29th september when the bus was on its way to Tigri when the driver of the vehicle lost control over it. The bus skidded off the road and fell into a gorge after hitting a tree near Sambhal in the district, they said.

Of the 56 injured, five are serious, they said.

All the injured are admitted to the government district hospital, said Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Gulocha.
