A rare reunion of the Chappells

Cricket brought Ian, Greg and Trevor together in Colombo - with the sibling reunion taking place on Greg's birthday.

The Sri Lankan capital is an unusual place for the three Chappell brothers to meet but cricket brought Ian, Greg and Trevor together here - with the sibling reunion taking place on Greg's birthday.

Professional commitments, however, prevented the three former Australia Test players from having dinner and drinks together as Greg turned 57 Sunday.

"I called up Greg to wish him on his birthday and later met him briefly after India's win over the West Indies Sunday night," Trevor said.

Greg is, of course, here as the Indian team coach, Ian as a television commentator and Trevor as a coach of a private club just outside Colombo.

Trevor, who played for Australia along side Greg in 1980s, admitted that due to professional commitments the three brothers hardly get to meet in their home country.
