It was alleged that some BJP workers warned AAP worker Amar Kant Jha, a resident of Govindpuri, to not man the AAP’s election booth on polling day. “Same evening, the same bunch of BJP workers again confronted Jha and after abusing him for manning the booth, stabbed him in his abdomen,” a statement from AAP’s South Delhi candidate Col Devinder Sehrawat claimed.

Jha was rushed to AIIMS trauma Centre immediately, the statement said and also claimed that a case has been registered at the Govindpuri police station against the BJP workers. When contacted SHO Govindpuri police station could neither confirm nor deny anything about the case.

Refuting all charges, BJP’s south Delhi election convenor Ashish Sood said, “AAP has a habit of spreading lies. On April 10th, they took name of one of our workers; today they are taking name of some other worker. No such incident has happened, it is rubbish.” “Instead, we have registered a complaint against Sehrawat at Sangam Vihar police station for criminally trying to impact the election/result,” Sood added.
