A STUDENT of Don Bosco School, Patna who had gone missing and was suspected to have been abducted, was found near the Bhopal railway station on Thursday night. The boy was unconscious and his hands and feet were tied. On the basis of an identity card recovered from his pocket, the police identified him as Abhishek Chandan, 18.

He is son of K Chaudhary, a Sub-Inspector posted at Dhanbad. Abhishek had left his home at around 6.40 am in Gardanibagh area of Patna for praying at a temple on March 8. It was suspected that he had been abducted. He was spotted lying in the yard near railway station.

It is surmised that either the abductors brought him directly from Patna to Bhopal in a truck or lured him and brought here by train. Otherwise, it is not possible to bring the boy from Patna to Bhopal so fast. The officials of the Rail-
way Protection Force rushed to the station on receiving information about the teenager.

He was admitted to a private hospital and the police were waiting for him to regain consciousness to record his statement. The police informed father of Abhishek on phone. The phone number of his residence was also found from the identity card that led to his identification.

It is surmised that the unconsciousness appeared to have been induced by drugs.
