Wearing black bands, the ABVP activists gathered at Pravesh Bhawan, shouted slogans against the V-C and torched his effigy. Criticising the AU authorities, student leader Shivendra Mishra said that the authorities failed to keep their commitment to reduce the cost of admission forms of graduate and post graduate courses of the varsity. The admissions had been started without considering the demands of the students which was very harsh on the part of the varsity authorities. He said that the students would go to any extent to get their demands fulfilled. ABVP city secretary Vivek Mishra urged the V-C to implement the central fee structure in the varsity.

AUCKU protest: AU & Colleges Karmachari Union (AUCKU) has decided to oppose the move of the AU authorities to modify admission rules and do away with direct admission privilege for the wards of AU employees.
