
Admissions for general category in IIMs could be cleared
Lalu Prasad on Thursday said the Govt could go ahead with the admissions in the general category in the IIMs and wait for the SC verdict on the OBC quota.

The UPA and the Left are expected to meet for wider consultations on the OBC quota issue.
Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Thursday said the government could go ahead with the admissions in the general category in the IIMs and wait for the Supreme Court verdict on the OBC quota.
"We have taken a view that students should not suffer and the quota for OBC could be kept pending till the Supreme Court verdict is given while going ahead with the admissions for general category students", Prasad told reporters outside Parliament.
