AFSPA withdrawal not acceptable to JK people: Shiv Sena

Shiv Sena unit of Jammu and Kashmir today claimed chief minister Omar Abdullah's proposal of withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act in certain areas in the state is not acceptable to public.

Shiv Sena unit of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday claimed chief minister Omar Abdullah's proposal of withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act in certain areas in the state is not acceptable to public.

"Omar's proposal of withdrawing AFSPA in certain areas where army was not made operational for few years is not acceptable to public," JK Shiv Sena chief Ashok Gupta told reporters here.

"Omar wants to reap political dividends by raising the demand of AFSPA removal," he said.
