The Prime Minister stated this in the Rajya Sabha when CPI (M) member Dipanker Mukherjee insisted on an assurance from him to agree to withdraw an amendment on the motion of thanks to the President's address.
After the assurance, Mukherjee did not press for the amendment.
Replying to a debate, Singh said the Government has no objection to any type of discussion but rule under which it takes place had to be decided by Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
Mukherjee, who was backed in his demand by party colleagues Nilotpal Basu and Sitaram Yechury, said despite the issue being raised, the Prime Minister chose to ignore it.
The party wondered as to where was the hurry in opening the bids for modernisation of Delhi and Mumbai airports and sticking to the January 31 deadline.
