Aishwarya selected for natl camp

AISHWARYA AGARWAL of Indore has been selected for the national tennis coaching camp organised by All India Tennis Association to be held at Delhi from February 7 to 16.

Aishwarya has brought laurels to Indore and MP by winning various tournaments in the age of 14 years. She has been seeded 13 in all India ranking.

Achievement is not new to her, as she created a record in her tender age of three when she broke the world record in skating. She is fondly called ‘Wonder Girl of Indore’.

After her big achievements in skating she continued her supremacy in tennis. She got full support from her mother Anita Agarwal who prepared Aishwarya to the national-level.

Aishwarya has been selected in Indian junior team and for Federation Cup 2006 coaching camp. On the basis of her
performance at the camp, she would be selected in Indian Junior team.

She practices with her coach Sajid Lodi at Residency Club and with Irfan Ahamed at Indore Tennis Club for two hours each morning and evening respectively.

She is a student of Class VII at Emerald Heights International School. Her father Sunil Agarwal and mother Anita Agarwal said at a press conference that their daughter was getting full encouragement from the school.

She is a double world record holder in skating at the age of two and three. She has played six nationals in tennis in 2001-2002 and eight in 2003. She has won gold in CBSE west zone tennis tournament in the under-14 category.

She won bronze in the CBSE Nationals in the under-14 category and first prize in School Nationals in under-18 category.
She won talent series thrice in 2004. Aishwarya was finalist in Talent series held in Mysore 2005 and a semi-finalist in Asian Junior Championship 2005. In CBSE Nationals Aishwarya won the gold medal and also won the ‘Best Player’ award.

Aishwarya said that she would work hard to become top tennis player in the country. Her coaches expressed hope that she would be selected in the Indian team.
