AISTF decries adjustment order

In a press communiqué, Singh demanded to cancel the order issued by the Basic Siksha Adhikari (BSA) and urged the DM to intervene into the matter.

Singh said the BSA was misusing his powers and he had even displaced the physically challenged teachers on the pretext of adjustment despite the exemption given to such teachers. He accused the BSA of posting teachers according to personal preferences. He alleged that instead of creating posts in several schools having strength of 500-600 students, the BSA had transferred the teachers in other blocks, besides disturbing senior teachers and shifting juniors teachers on the pretext of adjustment. Singh said no posts had been created since 2002 despite the rule to create posts according to strength of students after every three years. He said that many schools had no principal as teachers had not been promoted for years.

Azam’s effigy burnt

MEMBERS OF Allahabad Nagar Nigam Safai Mazdoor Union took out rally from the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Allahapur and burnt an effigy of Cabinet Minister Azam Khan, on Sunday. Later, presiding over the meeting, Safai Mazdoor Union president Pradeep said the Nagar Nigam was harassing sanitation workers. The NN had formulated an arbitrary transfer policy of the sanitation workers just to bother them. He demanded that the NN must withdraw the transfer policy and cancel all transfer orders.
