After being the favourite clotheshorse of fashion designer Rohit Bal for several years now, Haryana boy Ajay Balhara is looking at an opening for that perfect role in Bollywood. "I've heard a few scripts and as I'm not opposed to starting my career with a negative one, it's easier to find work as a villain. But I'd like to play a negative role with a positive attitude, like a Shah Rukh Khan in Darr," says Balhara with a smile.

Gearing up for LIFW, Mumbai, after shifting to Mumbai four months back and still waiting for a foothold, acting is his final destination. "After modelling for four years, you get so used to the glamour world that you're looking for something that gets your creative juices churning. And unlike my colleagues I'm not looking at choreography or turning designer, acting is my main focus," says Ajay.

Ajay has a background of theatre which he believes was his learning ground. "Asmita, the theatre group I worked with for two years it was better than attending an acting school. The six plays (mostly in Hindi) that I did with them honed my skills, and the best part were the street plays that added that extra touch," confesses Ajay.

This will be the fourth time Ajay takes part in the LIFW: "There should be a fixed venue for LIFW. That way we can plan our assignments," says Ajay.

Ajay's heart is set on Bollywood and he is ready to take on the challenges: "I don't give up easily," concludes Ajay. We believe you!
