Having worked in the make up industry for over two decades with names like Ferragamo, Ferre and Moschino, Milan-based make up expert Franco Felice Fumagalli decided to make model Yana Gupta's face his canvas at the LIFW.
Fumagalli used Lakme's new water colours that are ideal for day. One colour can be used for the entire face: Eyes, lips and cheekbones. After sun down, if you want to go out partying just make the make-up a wee bit more intense, he suggests.
Step 1: Lakme's Face Magic Soufflé, in a natural shade, was used as a base. To warm up the complexion, he added liquid blush for a healthy glow. Since shimmery is in, glow is the buzzword.
Step 2: Eyes are the mirror of the soul. If eyes are done correctly the face is a cakewalk. He's used lilac (because it's a peppy hue) on eyelids and added gold sheer under the brows with bronze tones fading into light blue towards the temple.
Step 3: Contouring the lips with a mauve lip pencil and then filling in the rest of the mouth with a lighter tone with Lakme's lip gel.
Step 4: Lakme's new water colours give you the option of a beautiful pink lip tint to make your mouth fuller and luscious. To top it all, use a transparent crystal gloss
Step 5: Blue eye pencil to contour the outer eye and give it that much needed character.
Step 6: Finally, add a bronze blush from Lakme's water colour on the sides of the cheekbones and you are ready to take on the rest of the day with confidence.
