This is evident from the fact that in the past 11 months, against the set target of 65,679 family planning cases in Allahabad division only 38,372 cases were conducted at the family planning camps.
In this way the Allahabad division achieved only 58.42 per cent target.
Fatehpur district achieved only 45 per cent of the sterilisation target.
What's more under the government's 20-point national health control programme including infectious diseases the blood test was conducted on 10,999 people but treatment was provided to only 99 patients. There was also no official report of any death due to malaria, TB or any other infectious disease.
These shocking facts came to light from the 'half-baked' report was presented to the Commissioner Allahabad division during the recently held monthly divisional review meeting.
The report further mentioned that under the filaria control programme the vaccination of 40,31,399 children was proposed. But how many children were covered last year was not mentioned in the report.
The report also revealed that X-ray machines in 11 district hospitals and clinics in Allahabad division are not functioning.
The X-ray machines were found functioning only at TB clinic at Beli Hospital and government TB hospital.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the report the Commissioner Dr Lalit Verma said it is a matter of great concern that there was not even a single programme in which Allahabad division which achieved hundred per cent target.
