A seminar on "Allahabad Vision 2020", will be organised by Yash Krishi Takniki Evam Vigyan Kendra (YKTEVK) at Hotel Milan here on March 26. The seminar, supported by Allahabad Development Authority (ADA), ICI UP Allahabad Centre, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), OSCEE Designs and many other organisations, is being organised to discuss and pool ideas on the development of Allahabad region.

The seminar, supported by Allahabad Development Authority (ADA), ICI UP Allahabad Centre, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), OSCEE Designs and many other organisations, is being organised to discuss and pool ideas on the development of Allahabad region.

The theme of the seminar will include Master Plan of Allahabad and nearby areas, major infrastructure required, concept of satellite townships, methods of maintenance for road system, drainage system for the city, garbage collection and disposal system, industrial development of Allahabad, better placing for electricity supply lines, placing for supply of cable and telephone lines, planning for parks, roadside plantation and play grounds, planning for organic farming in the district, rehabilitation of monuments and important structures, front and backyard gardening, its design and materials, Vastu consideration in planning of city and buildings, typical type design of dwelling unit for poor/ lower income group, design of hoarding and display boards, alternatives for road side shops and gumties, alternatives for slum houses and society aspirations and their role in city upkeep.
