An American tourist was molested outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Vaastu Sangrahalaya (museum) at Colaba by a teenager on January 3. The incident occurred a mere three days after a girl was molested on New Year?s Eve at the Gateway of India, less than a km from the museum.

An American tourist was molested outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Vaastu Sangrahalaya (museum) at Colaba by a teenager on January 3. The incident occurred a mere three days after a girl was molested on New Year’s Eve at the Gateway of India, less than a km from the museum.

Abu Sheikh (15) was arrested from his Ajmer Nagar, Bhiwandi, residence for the crime on Thursday night. Colaba police officers said the 25-year-old tourist (name withheld) was taking photographs of the museum when Abu requested that she take his picture too. When the tourist showed him the photograph, Abu allegedly molested her.

The tourist and museum staffers tried to catch him but he got away. They, however, nabbed one of his friends, who revealed where Abu stayed. DCP (Zone 1) Brijesh Kumar Singh told HT that a molestation case was registered against Abu.
