Sonam in Sanwariya: I want my daughter Sonam to make her own mark with her debut film Sanwariya. I wish her all the best.
Celeb cause: Celebrity endorsement is not a new thing. It’s just that media is hyper active these days. It’s good in a way if it helps the cause. I had never before signed for a cause because I could never relate to anything. But Plan India’s Universal Birth Registration campaign (UBR) is significant and if my association can help, then why not?
Family man, me: I love spending time with my family. Now that my daughters have grown up, it gives me immense pleasure and pride to sit and chat with them. Especially the dinning table session where we discuss everything from social issues to the latest films.
Mr India, still: It’s surprising that children still call me Mr India. This certainly makes my job for UBR campaign easier as it gives me a certain kind of comfort level with kids. I wish to take advantage of my Mr India image for this noble cause.
Forthcoming films: Next year, I’ll be seen in Salaam E Ishq and Welcome. Now I want to play characters which will entice the actor within me. New and challenging things will keep bringing me back on screen.
