And the fash frat partied on
The Kimaya party proved to be the first stop for hardened party-hoppers before they moved to the F Bar and Lounge.
One knows exactly where to find the Capital’s fashion fraternity after work hours: It’s party time folks! And on Sunday night, they all landed up to let their hair down for Pradip Hirani’s do at Brix, The Grand.

The occasion? “Well there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate the hard work put in by the whole fashion community,” said host Hirani, who owns Kimaya, the high-end store at Mumbai.
The star at the do was undoubtedly fashion designer Raghavendra Rathore who seemed to be in high spirits after delivering a fabulous show. “This year I have signed my dream deal with Shoppers Stop where the clothes would be available for anything between Rs 399 and Rs 1,800,” announced Rathore.
Looking dapper in black, Rathore walked in with his elegant looking wife Kavita, who, of course, was proud of the brilliant show her husband had put up. “His clothes are wearable and reasonable at the same time,” announced Kavita, also dressed in black. Among others, Avinash and Sarika Gandhi, Kimaya’s partners in Dubai, were also spotted at the do.
We overheard Rathore remarking that unlike Albert Morris of Brown, William Stewart of London was a generous buyer who placed big orders. And what did Stewart think of Raghu’s show? “It was interesting and creative,” he announced, paying back the compliment.
Grand finale designer Aki Narula was seen chatting with friend Sanjeev Moolchandani while city-based designer Ranna Gill came in late and left early like Ravi Krishnan of IMG. Lakme head Anil Chopra with his wife Sabina, industrialist Mohit Burman and Alka Bali were among the other page three people who attended the do.
The Kimaya party proved to be the first stop for hardened party-hoppers before they moved to the F Bar and Lounge. Like they say, the party must go on. And this appears to be the perfect week for party animals. So why shouldn’t one make the best of it before heading to work tomorrow morning?
