According to the doctors at Medanta-The Medicity, the 75-year-old activist has recovered well and was perfectly fine. “He is perfectly fine now. He was discharged around 2pm,” said Dr KL Sehgal, a senior doctor at the hospital.

Hazare was admitted to the hospital on Friday after he complained of weakness, acidity, nausea, vomiting and cough. He was later diagnosed for gastritis for which he was kept in the ICU for three days. “We had kept him in the ICU to ensure nothing goes wrong,” an official at the hospital said.

On Friday, doctors had said that he would be discharged on Saturday. But an official on Saturday said that Hazare is likely to be discharged in the next two-three days. The hospital management said that he was kept in the ICU for “some personal health reasons”.
