Another Andhra techie dies in US

Purushottam was found dead in his apartment in a south eastern neighbourhood of Indianapolis City on Tuesday evening, police said.

An Indian software engineer from Andhra Pradesh was found dead in his apartment in Indianapolis in the US under mysterious circumstances, in the eighth case of young students and professionals from the state meeting a violent end in the last 14 months.

Preliminary investigations in the death of Muthyala Purushottam (27) pointed to a case of suicide. Purushottam was found dead in his apartment in a south eastern neighbourhood of Indianapolis City on Tuesday evening, police said.

A resident of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, Purushottam worked with Triton Infotech in Indianapolis.

An Indianapolis Police official said the police received an emergency call at about 6.15 p.m. on Tuesday that Purushottam was found dead on the floor. The body was first found by his wife, also a software techie.

Upon reaching the apartment, the police found the victim lying on the floor and there were marks on his neck.
