“Doing politics over the (JNU) issue is very serious and dangerous. If some parties try to make it a political issue it is unfortunate,” he said.

The government is very clear that all should together take a decision with cool mind to facilitate the ongoing inquiry and anyone found guilty should be dealt with in accordance with the law, the Union minister of state for information and broadcasting said.

“Twisting and stretching the matter unnecessarily would be politicisation,” Rathore said.

Maintaining that it is not about the entire JNU, the minister said the objective of investigation is to identify only those who allegedly did wrong things against national interest.

If some individuals within the country raise anti-national slogans, it would be dangerous for the nation, he said.
