AP will launch legal battle against Karnataka over Krishna

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said his government would launch a legal battle with neighbouring Karnataka to get its due share of Krishna waters.

Speaking at 19th Janmabhoomi programme at Baghu Balendra Gudem about 40 km from here in Krishna district, Naidu said that after construction of Almatti dam, Andhra Pradesh was not getting its adequate share of Krishna waters.

Andhra Pradesh government has decided to evolve a plan with an outlay of Rs 600 crore to help the farmers in the state, he said.

Referring to the sale of spurious seeds by any company, the Chief Minister said the government would initiate serious action against them.
