Apple sold 170 million iPads since debut in 2010

Apple has reportedly revealed that it has sold 170 million iPads since the flagship product's debut launch in early 2010.

Apple has reportedly revealed that it has sold 170 million iPads since the flagship product's debut launch in early 2010.

The tech giant revealed the figure at its mega iPad launch event in San Francisco on Tuesday.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook revealed that Apple had sold its 170 millionth tablet earlier this month adding that there are now 475,000 apps for iPad in the App Store, Mashable reports.

The chief said that the Apple's App Store has topped one million apps milestone more than five years after launching and there have been more than 60 billion app downloads to date and 13 billion dollars paid out to developers, the report added.
