Arjun Ramp-al steals Gudda's show!

Influenced by purity of the pearl, models catwalked wearing creations all soaked in creamy white, reports Sidhi Chadha.

Close to a mini stampede at the entrance, Rohit Bal aka Gudda's show was definitely the most awaited show on day 1 of India Fashion Week. With a packed house of VIPs, media and countable socialites, the Delhi designer kick started his show. And with ex-model Arjun Rampal ramping his way on runway, Gudda's show turned out to be a sure shot winner!

Influenced by purity of the pearl, models catwalked wearing creations all soaked in creamy white. The collection was quite a lengthy one with 81 outfits!

The designer's line ranged from thick chanderi thread embroidered jackets with

hint of gold and silver to balloon skirts and from ruffled dresses (both long & short) to rich velvet kaftans and tunics. Also seen on ramp were stylish short coats with rich embossed work teamed with summery linen pants for men.



Colour palette was obviously pearl white keeping in mind the theme. Fabrics used were silk chiffon, lace, georgettes, velvet, linens and brocade.

HIGHLIGHTS

Long and short jackets in various styles be it chest linen jacket or bandh galas, the creation for both men and women were a show stealer! A must buy.

CAN YOU WEAR ROHIT'S CLOTHES?

Along with being truly summerish, the collection was also very rich. Leaving some fancy balloon skirts, the clothes could be worn.
