A SPECTACULAR ceremony at the Red Eagle Signal Regiment marked the flag-off of the Corps of Signals Motor Cycle Rally from Allahabad on Tuesday. The motor cycle rally, which commenced on January 9, 2006 from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, is one of the many adventure and cultural activities planned on the eve of the 13th Corps of Signals? reunion. Covering a distance of 7087 kms, the rally will conclude at Jabalpur.

Covering a distance of 7087 kms, the rally will conclude at Jabalpur. The rally team comprising of three Junior Commissioned Officers and 15 Other Ranks will cover a distance of 1090 kms.
The rally, that entered Uttar Pradesh at Agra and having passed through Kanpur, arrived at Allahabad on Monday, aims to promote adventure activities and highlight the high traditions of welfare and togetherness with ex-servicemen besides enhancing the camaraderie amongst all ranks of the Corps of Signals.
The rally was flagged off from Red Eagle Signals Regiment by Colonel Sandeep Apte, Colonel Administration, Red Eagle Division and Amrit Abhijat, District Magistrate, Allahabad. The colourful occasion was also witnessed by SP (City) RPS Yadav Allahabad besides a large number of ex-servicemen of Corps of Signals who were also present on the occasion.
The rally participants also interacted with NCC cadets and students of St Joseph's College on Monday.
The team motivated the school children to join the army and inculcated a sense of patriotism and a love for the adventurous life in children.
The team was welcomed at SJC by FW Moore and garlanded by the perfects of the college.
The principal of the college, Fr Louis Mascarenhas presented a memento of the college to Subedar Yadav, the leader of the team.
