ASI caught taking bribe in Haryana

The Haryana state vigilance bureau caught assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Vikash Kumar, posted at police station, Sector-29, DLF, Gurgaon, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000.

The Haryana state vigilance bureau caught assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Vikash Kumar, posted at police station, Sector-29, DLF, Gurgaon, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000.

Kumar was accepting the illegal gratification from one Bansi Lal, a resident of Manesar, in lieu of discharging him in a dacoity case.

A spokesman for the bureau said a case had been registered against the suspect under sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and the matter was being further investigated.
