The company, also known for its laptops and computer peripherals, plans to launch its phones in the Indian market next month, Jonathan Tsang, President, ASUSTeK Computer Inc, said in Chennai.
"We will gradually look to increasing our mobile products in India, once we launch our PDA phones," he said.
The mobile phones are priced at $600 worldwide, he added.
ASUS, which launched the F3J series of notebook PC's in Chennai on Thursday, will also come out with the Lambhorgini model in July in India. It would be priced around Rs 1.6 lakh, he said.
Queried as to whether ASUS, which has a huge manufacturing facility in China, would set up such a facility in India, he said that they were considering the option and would decide after looking at logistics, costs, and other factors.
